The body of your speech is not detailed enough to really tell if you are going to bring something really valuable to your audience. What you need to do is give a new and unique perspective on weight loss. Instead of giving a talk about very general issues in weight loss, is there any new research on one particular aspect of weight loss that would be valuable for your audience to learn about? Is there something you are pretty sure that none of your classmates has heard about before?
